GREENWOOD, SC - The Augusta men's basketball team fell to Lander, 77-72. Their record is now 15-10 overall and 8-7 in conference play on Wednesday night. Augusta will head to North Georgia on Saturday, Feb. 24. Tipoff is set for 3:30 p.m.

Augusta jumped on Lander out the gate going up 9-0, much of the first half would stay the same as the Jaguars went into the break with a 42-36 lead. The Jaguars were able to do so shooting 7 of 11 from three-point range.
For much of the second half, the Jaguars were able to hold off the Bearcats attack, but with 4:36 left in the game, Lander took the lead for good.
Demitri Gardner led the Jaguars with 26 points in the losing affair, he also totaled six rebounds. Ja'Queze Kirby followed with 12 points and seven rebounds.
Max Amadasun led in rebounds with nine.
This loss snaps the Jaguars six-game winning streak.
