AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University baseball team registered 15 hits in a 13-0 victory against the visiting Emmanuel University Lions Tuesday evening in nonconference action. AU returns to PBC action when they host Claflin for a three-game series March 15-16.
Augusta opened the scoring in the first after Kwiatkowski singled, scoring one run. AU added 11 more runs in the bottom of the third inning on eight hits.
Kyle Lodise hit a solo home run to right field,
Parker Ingram doubled to score one run,
Jake Vachon hit a sac fly to score one run, and
Koby Ayala singled to score two runs.
Harrison Aulds singled for two runs, Ingram singled for one run, and
Zach Kwiatkowski capped scoring in the inning with a three-run RBI.
Vachon hit a bases-loaded single in the fifth inning for the final AU run.
Kwiatkowski was 3-for-3 with 4 runs driven in and 2 runs. Aulds was also 3-for-3 with 3 runs and 2 RBI.
Seven different Augusta pitchers combined for a complete game shutout.
Marshall Flowers (1-0) led things off for AU, surrendering two hits and zero runs over the first 2.1 innings.
