SALISBURY, N.C. - The Augusta University softball team won the first game of a doubleheader with Catawba 6-5 before falling 9-0 in the second game of the day. AU will return to Peach Belt Conference Play when they travel to take on No. 1 North Georgia March 8-9.

Game 1
- A solo shot over the fence from Bobbi Poff started scoring in the first inning. Singles from Lauren Evens and Cadence Winder in the dame inning moved the score to 3-0.
- After Catawba scored two runs in the second inning, AU used a bases-loaded walk for its fourth run in the third inning.
- Paige Patterson blasted a home run over the left field fence in the fifth inning before Catawba used two doubles to take a 6-5 lead.
- In the sixth inning, Bailee Roberts hit a single that plated Poff and evened the game 6-6. A wild pitch gave Augusta the final, winning run
- Roberts paced the Jags, going 3-for-4 with 2 runs and 1 RBI. Bobbi Poff drove in two runs
- Madalyn Spinks (4-2) pitched all seven innings, allowing nine hits for six runs while striking out two batters.

Game 2
- The Jags offense was stagnant in the second game, only carding two hits in the contest.
- Poff and Roberts both turning in a single hit
- Ansley Gibson (3-4) took the loss for the Jags, tossing 4.1 innings
