AUGUSTA, GA - The Augusta University baseball team dropped the third and final game of its series against USC Aiken 6-0. Augusta is now 22-19, 11-10 PBC. The Jags will travel to Erskine on Tuesday, April 16 for a non-conference matchup before traveling to Americus to take on Georgia Southwestern April 19-21.
 
Augusta struggled offensively, only registering four hits while the Pacers turned in 16.

A well-executed sac bunt in the second inning gave USC Aiken its first run in the second inning.  The Pacers added another run in the sixth inning. The sixth inning saw the visitor add three more runs and force two AU pitching changes.
 
Kyle LaRoche, Harrison Aulds, Jake Vachon, and Trevor Maddox each tallied a hit in the contest.
Senior Will Cantrell started strong on the mound for AU, striking out nine batters in his 6.1 innings of work. Fellow senior Britt Kelly came in as relief before Aedan Cates, Garrett Wright, and Marshall Flowers all saw time on the mound.
