DUE WEST, SC - The Augusta University baseball team fell 11-7 to Erskine on Tuesday afternoon. Augusta returns to PBC play on Friday April 19 when they travel to take on Georgia Southwestern in a three-game series.
 
Augusta started off scoring in the first inning when Dylan Wanat singled to right field for two scores. The Flying Fleet answered immediately, knocking two homers and a single in the bottom of the inning.

Kyle Lodise registered his 13^th home run of the season in the fourth inning to bring the score to 5-3. In the sixth, the Jags scored another run off a base-loaded walk before a single from the home team put the score at 6-4.

Another bases-loaded walk in the eighth inning gave Augusta another run. In the bottom of the inning, Erskine scored five runs off a 3 RBI homer and two singles. AU tacked on two more runs in the ninth inning, but fell 11-7.
 
Nolan Turner and Koby Ayala both had multiple hits in the game. Wanat was 1-for-5 with 2 RBI and Lodise was 2-for-4 with 21 RBI to pace Augusta.
 
Logan Howell (1-3) started on the mound, allowing five hits, Six Jaguar pitchers saw time pitching in relief.
