AMERICUS, GA - The Augusta University baseball team fell to the Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes on the road Saturday afternoon. Augusta is now 23-21, 12-11 inside conference play. Augusta and Georgia Southwestern will meet in the third and final game of the series on Sunday, April 21, at 1:00 pm.
After an extended rain delay, the Augusta offense struggled to keep up with the home team, falling 10-0.
Georgia Southwestern started off score with 1 2 RBI homer in the second innings and never slowed their momentum.
Dylan Wanat led the game with two hits. 
Nolan Turner and 
Brady Loughren also had hits.
 
Senior 
Will Cantrell (4-3) started on the mound for AU, tossing 2.0 innings and striking out three batters before 
Gavin Zoeller pitched the following 3.2 innings. Zoeller allowed three hits and sat down four batters. 
Brayden Howigren and 
Jude King also saw time on the mound.
