Cincinnati, Oh- Augusta University's men's golf team started the fall season with a solid day and currently sit in a tie for seventh at +8 and are two shots out of the top five. The University of Cincinnati is the host for the Bearcat Invitational as everyone played 36 holes Monday and will play 18 holes Tuesday to wrap up the tournament.
With three transfer students in the starting lineup, the Jaguars finished with consistent rounds of 288-288 and are tied with Florida Gulf Coast.
Louisville is atop the team leaderboard at -6, Kansas is second at -3 as they are the only two teams under par.                                           Â
The Jaguars were led by
Stefan Jacobs who fired rounds of 71 and 67 and is currently tied for sixth. Jacobs opening round featured two birdies and two bogeys then followed it up with four birdies and a single bogey in the second round. He currently is just one shot out of fifth place.
Bo Blanchard II opened the tournament going low with a 69, putting him at -3. Blanchard could not sustain it and finished the day with a second round 74 and is even par. That's good enough to sit in 11th place.
Josh Koekemoer fired rounds of 74-72 while
Ryan Davidson shot 75-70 and
Pieter Rossouw Jr. went 80-77 in the first two rounds.
