Cincinnati, Oh-It was a good start to the fall portion of the Augusta University men's golf season as they finish up with a seventh place finish at the Bearcat Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Stefan Jacobs led the way for the Jaguars with a fifth place finish.
Augusta finished by shooting 286 today and wind up +11 for the tournament. Louisville won the team portion at -6 and were the only team under par. Cincinnati, Kansas, BYU, Iowa State and Furman finished ahead of the Jaguars.
Jacobs, a junior from South Africa, posted four birdies and four bogeys to finish at -3 for the tournament. All three of his rounds were par or better in the event.
Pieter Rossouw Jr. had the biggest turnaround from the opening rounds to today. After shooting 80 and 77 yesterday, he finished up with a 68 today.
Josh Koekemoer shot a 73 today and finished at +6 for the event and a top 40 finish.
Bo Blanchard II Â finished at +7 and
Ryan Davidson was +10.
The team score was the fourth best of the day in the 18 team tournament.
Augusta University returns to action Sept. 28 and 29 at the Windon Memorial in Chicago, Illinois.
