Statesboro, Ga. - Senior
Stefan Jacobs posted the best finish of the four Augusta University Jaguars in the Bash at the Boro at Georgia Southern University Golf Club in Statesboro, Ga. on Thursday. Jacobs shot a 1-under-par 71 and finished at 6-under-par for the tournament, good enough for a tie for seventh place. AU played as four individuals in the event that was won by Georgia Southern.
After making bogey on his first hole of the day, Jacobs rebounded with a birdie three holes later. He would finish the round strong with three more birdies over his final four holes.
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
Benjamin Lübker shot an even-par-72 in the final round to finish at 5-over-par for the event. Lübker made four birdies and four bogeys in his round.
Chapman Barnett turned in a solid round with a 1-under-par 71, the best of his three rounds in Statesboro. Barnett birdied his third hole of the day and then made three more to go along with a bogey and double bogey.
Playing in his first event of the year,
Josh Daniels shot 74 in the final round. That goes along with rounds of 81-74 that Daniels shot on Monday.
The next team event for Augusta is at the Williams Cup presented by STITCH Golf in Wilmington, North Carolina Oct. 19-21.
