AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta volleyball stayed unbeaten in Peach Belt Conference play with a 3–1 win over Flagler on Saturday at Christenberry Fieldhouse. The Jaguars, now 13–2 overall and 4–0 in the PBC, stand alone atop the conference standings.
After dropping a tight first set 26–24, Augusta responded with three straight wins (25–21, 25–17, 25–22) to close out the match. The Jaguars' blocking proved to be the difference, controlling the net with 14.0 team blocks and forcing Flagler into key errors during pivotal stretches.
Sofiia Snitsarevych led Augusta's balanced attack with 16 kills on .419 hitting while adding four blocks. Layne Witherspoon followed with 14 kills, 14 digs, and five total blocks, and Patrycja Kabala added 11 kills on .346 hitting. Setter Mia Saavedra dished out 30 assists and contributed nine kills, while Giulia Rodrigues added 16 digs and four aces in the win.
As a team, Augusta hit .295 with 61 kills and 12 aces while holding Flagler to a .277 clip. AU recorded 17 total team blocks,
The Jaguars (13–2, 4–0 PBC) return home on Tuesday, Oct. 7, for a 7 p.m. non-conference matchup against Emmanuel.
