Augusta, Ga. - Augusta baseball fell to Florida Tech 11-3 at Jaguar Field Thursday evening. The Jaguars are now 1-9 on the year with the Panthers improving to 5-4.
Florida Tech scored in five different innings and jumped out to a 5-0 lead before Augusta got on the board. In the 5th,
Ty McClintock walked, moved to third on a
Nolan Turner double and would score on an error for the first Jaguar run. Â
AU would also score a run in the 7th with
Cameron Strader getting a RBI single in his first at-bat of the year as he would plate Turner. They would add one more in the 9th as McClintock would reach on an error and score on a
Ryan Patrick RBI single.Â
Eight different Augusta players would pick up a hit in the game with McClintock scoring two of the three runs.Â
Augusta and Florida Tech will next play a doubleheader on Friday starting at 2 p.m.Â
