Augusta, Ga - In the series finale, Augusta baseball fell to Florida Tech 13-4 Saturday afternoon at Jaguar Field. Augusta is now 2-11 on the year, while Florida Tech is 7-5.
After giving up runs in the first two innings, the Jaguars got on the board in the third. Parker Ingram walked, stole second, and then advanced to third on an error. Nolan Turner delivered a triple to plate Ingram with the first run of the game. Turner then scored on a Mike Morrison single.
Augusta added another run in the fifth inning. Once again, Ingram walked and stole second. After moving to third on a wild pitch, Turner brought him in on a groundout.
The Jaguars added their final run of the game in the seventh inning, with the top of the order once again leading the charge. Ingram singled and moved to third on a hit by Turner. Morrison followed with another RBI base hit.
Ingram finished the game with three walks, a single, two stolen bases, and three runs scored. Turner collected two hits and two RBIs. Morrison also had two hits and drove in two runs, while Wyatt Talik picked up two hits on the afternoon.
Augusta will be back in action Tuesday, traveling to Newberry for a single game at 4 p.m.
