Women's Tennis Tops ABAC 5-2 at Home

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University women's tennis team continued its strong start to the season with a 7-2 win over Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College on Tuesday evening.

The Jaguars set the tone early by winning two of the three doubles matches. Andrea Gonzalez and Juliana Martinez secured a 6-2 victory at No. 1 doubles, while Julieta Palma and Priscilla Landi controlled their match at No. 2, winning 6-1. The No. 3 doubles match was left unfinished.

In singles play, Augusta claimed four of the six completed matches. Luciana Bejarano battled to a hard-fought 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 3, while Landi dominated at No. 4 with a 6-1, 6-1 victory. Camila Taborga added to Augusta's success with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 5, and Giovanna Patrocinio secured a point by default at No. 6.

Abraham Baldwin earned points at the top of the lineup, with Gonzalez falling 1-6, 3-6 at No. 1 and Martinez dropping a 2-6, 3-6 match at No. 2.
