AUGUSTA, GA- Augusta baseball opened their home portion of the schedule Tuesday afternoon at Jaguar Field coming up short against Erskine 18-6. The Jaguars are now 1-4 on the year with the Fleet improving to 3-1.
Before the game, Augusta honored Peach Belt Conference Commissioner David Brunk, who threw out the ceremonial first pitch. Brunk is set to retire in June after 18 years leading the conference.
The Jaguars gave up a run in the first but would tie it in the bottom of the second.

Roland Chance.
Erskine retook the lead in the third, one they would not surrender.
Parker Ingram hit a solo homer in the third and would also score a second run. An inning later, Chance would crack his second homer of the young season.
In the seventh, a couple of hit by pitches and a bases loaded walk would give Augusta three more runs.
Aidan Cannaday,
Gavin Wright and Chance would pick up the RBIs in the frame.
Wyatt Talik and
Mike Morrison would each have two hits and Morrison would score two of Augusta's six runs.
The Jaguars will be back home for a weekend series against Kentucky Wesleyan starting with a single game Friday at 6 p.m.
