Augusta Athletics Honored with Most Improved LeeAnn Noble Make-A-Wish Award

HILTON HEAD, SC – Augusta Athletics was recognized with the Most Improved Award at the annual LeeAnn Noble Make-A-Wish Awards, held Tuesday during the Peach Belt Conference's awards dinner in Hilton Head.

The Jaguars increased their Make-A-Wish fundraising total to $1,764 during the 2024–25 academic year, earning distinction among PBC institutions for their year-over-year growth and renewed commitment to the initiative. The fundraising campaign was led by Augusta's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), which organized efforts throughout the year to support the cause.

Since the partnership began, NCAA Division II has raised more than $7 million to help grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. More than 795 wishes have been granted thanks to contributions across Division II programs, with Augusta Athletics proudly playing its part in that impact.

The awards are named in honor of LeeAnn Noble, a former women's golfer at the University of North Georgia and a Make-A-Wish recipient, whose passion for the cause left a lasting legacy before her passing in 2014. The award celebrates the spirit of giving and the transformative power of granting wishes to children in need.
