AUGUSTA, Ga.Daniel Daramola scored a career-high 19 points, but Lander shot 61.9 percent from the field in an 85-74 Peach Belt Conference win over Augusta Wednesday for the annual Military Appreciation Game.

Augusta fell to 9-17 overall and 4-12 in the Peach Belt, while Lander improved to 16-5 overall and 11-3 in conference play.

Lander opened the contest with an 8-0 run before Augusta responded behind Daramola, who scored the Jaguars' first basket of the night in the paint. Augusta worked back into the game and tied the score at 18-18 midway through the first half following another bucket from Daramola.

Camryn Pacheco later gave Augusta its first lead with a three-pointer at the 8:05 mark, but Lander answered quickly and carried a 40-33 lead into halftime.

Augusta stayed within reach throughout the second half, cutting the deficit to single digits on multiple occasions. Pacheco connected on another three-pointer midway through the period, and the Jaguars continued to attack the rim and get to the foul line late, but Lander maintained control down the stretch to secure the win.
