Game One

Augusta came out swinging in the second inning, loading the bases before Kaylynn Scaffe delivered a two-run single up the middle to give the Jaguars an early 2-0 lead. Flagler responded in the bottom half of the inning with three runs to take a 3-2 advantage.

The Jaguars answered in the fourth as Scaffe tripled down the right field line and Sydney Gilbert followed with an RBI double to regain the lead at 4-3. The Saints again responded, tying the game at 4-4 heading into the fifth.

Kaylynn Scaffe led the offense, going 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs, while Sydney Gilbert added a key RBI double. Nevaeh Ross contributed with a hit and a run scored, continuing her consistent presence at the plate.

Augusta regained the lead in the fifth and held on down the stretch behind a combined effort in the circle. Ansley Gibson started before handing things off to Kristyn Ezzo in the fourth. Ezzo was sharp in relief, allowing just one earned run over four innings while striking out two to earn the win and improve to 3-4 on the season.

Augusta got on the board in the third when Chesney Miles scored on a Grace Bailey sacrifice bunt, then added runs in the fourth and sixth on a pair of Sydney Gilbert RBI singles. Gilbert led the offense, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, while Scaffe and Miles each added two hits.

Madalyn Spinks worked 5.2 innings, keeping Flagler in check before a three-run home run in the sixth shifted the momentum. Payton Terrell came on in relief and limited further damage as Augusta continued to battle, but the Jaguars came up just short.
