AUGUSTA, Ga. —
Kristyn Ezzo threw the first no-hitter of her Augusta career Sunday afternoon as the Jaguars defeated Middle Georgia 4-0 at Jaguar Field to complete the conference series sweep. Augusta improves to 10-9 overall and 3-0 in conference play, while Middle Georgia falls to 5-10.
Ezzo was dominant from the start, holding the Knights hitless across seven innings while striking out nine. The right-hander only allowed just two walks and one hit batter. The Augusta defense backed the performance with no errors throughout as Ezzo secured the first no-hitter of her Jaguar career.
Augusta provided early support in the third inning with
Sophie Baker opening the frame with a single and later came around to score when
Sam Tener lifted a sacrifice fly to center field to put the Jaguars ahead 1-0.
The Jaguars added three insurance runs in the fifth inning. Baker worked a walk to start the rally before
Sam Tener singled.
Grace Bailey followed with an RBI single to score
Ayellad Howard.
Eden Parker delivered the key hit with a two-run double down the left-field line to extend the lead to 4-0.
Tener led the Jaguars offensively with two hits and an RBI, while Parker finished with two RBIs and Bailey added a run-scoring single as Augusta recorded seven hits in the win.

Augusta continues conference play next weekend as the Jaguars host Georgia Southwestern for a three-game series. The series begins Friday, March 13th at 5 p.m., followed by a doubleheader Saturday, March 14th at 12 and 2 p.m.
