AIKEN, S.C.
– Augusta State's Jasmine Godwin was named to the Peach
Belt Conference's all-conference squad on Tuesday, March 3,
according to an announcement from the league office.
A junior guard from Norcross, Ga., Godwin was a third-team
selection. She ended the regular season as ASU's leading
scorer and the 14th-ranked scorer in the Peach Belt Conference at
12.1 ppg. She played in 27 of 28 games and made 20 starts and
scored in double figures in 16 games. She registered 20 or more
points six times and led ASU in scoring on four occasions.
She raised her scoring average to a season-high 15.5 ppg., after a
19-point effort vs. Wingate on Nov. 29. She poured in a season-high
and career-high 26 points vs. USC Aiken on Jan. 5 and she booked
her first double-double of the season with 25 points and 12
rebounds at Clayton State on Jan. 3.
Below is the 2009 Women's Basketball All-Conference team. The
team was selected by the league's head coaches, who were not
permitted to vote for their own players. Players were presented
their awards prior to their first PBC Tournament game.
