AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Armstrong Atlantic State's Ashley Slade scored a game-high 17 points Wednesday night to lead the Lady Pirates to a 74-52 Peach Belt Conference win over Augusta State in Christenberry Fieldhouse.
AASU improved to 7-5 overall and 3-1 in the PBC, while the Lady Jags dropped their fifth straight, falling to 6-7 and 0-6, respectively.
Sophomore forward Waneta Carlisle led ASU with 15 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore Morgan Goss booked nine points and five steals, while senior Jarquella Woods and freshman Brooke McCants had six points each.
Paced by Slade, five Lady Pirates scored in double figures. Mauri Wells registered a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Arpine Amirkhanyan, Jazmin Walker and Marissa Rimbert had 11 points each.
ASU shot a season-low 28.8 percent from the field and was outrebounded 50-32. The Lady Jags connected on 14-of-16 free throws (87.5 percent).
"We have to keep doing the little things and were not doing that," said ASU head coach Nate Teymer.
The Lady Jags travel to Due West, S.C., to take on Erskine on Monday, Jan. 17 at 6:00 p.m.
