AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Augusta State Jaguars fell 3-0 in a Peach Belt Conference contest to #16 Armstrong Atlantic State Saturday.
Armstrong continued its undefeated season as they improved to 31-0, 11-0 in the Peach Belt. ASU dropped to 14-16 overall, and 5-7 in the PBC.
The Jags couldn't establish an offensive rhythm, totaling 20 errors to 21 kills; they were outhit by the Pirates .333 to .012.
Senior Jessica Hanson led the Jags with a .400 hitting percentage, tallying six kills without any errors. Alex Rohlfing connected on seven kills and eight digs. Krystin Wahlig plugged away for 20 assists.
Leia Pittman led the Pirates with nine kills, Ashley Seal had 34 assists, and Jessica Santaniello nailed 10 digs.
ASU will regroup before heading to Newberry, S.C to take on Newberry College in nonconference action.
