AIKEN, S.C. – Augusta State fell 3-1 at USC Aiken in a Peach Belt Conference match Tuesday night in the Convocation Center.
With the loss, ASU slipped to 7-6 overall and 0-2 in the PBC, while the Pacers improved to 10-5 and 1-0 in the league.
ASU junior Jenna Keeler notched a team-high 11 kills, while Leslye Barnett booked nine kills without an error. Krystin Wahlig and Lauren Alverson combined for 29 assists and sophomore Collette Richards booked 18 digs.
Shannon Byers (16) and Ashley Deidrich (13) combined for 29 kills for the Pacers. Deidrich added 20 digs and Ashley Farwell and Sheila Walsh netted 25 and 22 assists, respectively.
USCA registered a .183 hitting percentage compared to just .084 for the Jags.
