Box Score DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The Augusta University women's basketball team played at the University of North Georgia on Wednesday evening and fell 60-81 in Peach Belt Conference action in the Convocation center.
Augusta is now 9-16 and 6-11 in the league, while the Hawks moved to 22-3 and 15-2 in the PBC.

Jaguar junior Zairya West logged 19 points to lead the team in scoring, while senior Cameryn Wilson and freshman Kennedi Manning both put up 10 points. Freshman Ashleigh Boulin grabbed 5 rebounds and had 4 points for Augusta.
Augusta shot a higher three point percentage as well as shooting a higher free throw percentage, but the Jags were outscore 50-32 in the paint.
Both teams hit three pointers to open the game bur he Jags took an early lead. A made three point jump shot by West brought the jags within four with a score of 20-24 with 8 minutes left in the second quarter. North Georgia took control on their home floor and took halftime on top 40-27. Despite three Augusta players scoring double digit points, the Hawks prevailed 60-81.
Augusta hosts the Young Harris on Saturday, Feb. 22 for a 1:30 p.m. PBC tipoff in Christenberry Fieldhouse. Saturday also marks the homecoming games for AU.
