MT BERRY, Ga. – The Augusta University Men's Track & Field team opened their season this past weekend. The Victor Ice Break Duals was hosted by Berry College in Mt Berry, Georgia.
The Augusta Men's distance runners showcased their dominance at the event, taking all 5 top finishing spots in the 5000m race. Eight of the top then finishes in the race were AU runners.
Hans Troyer collected a first place finish in the race with a time of 15:07.70, Augusta's
Avery Jaynes,
Thomas Rischar, Patrick Mote, and Grant Crabtree all placed in the top five.
Senior
Kai Brickey had a strong showing, finishing second in the 1500m with a time of 3:57.66. Brickey also finished 7
th in the 800m in 2.00.07.
Xavier Allen finished second in the 400m with a time if 50.36
Allen was also a member of the winning 4x400m relay team.
Xavier Allen,
Daniel Forrester,
Tremond Hatten and
Imo Sunday won the race in a time of 3:28.19.
Terrell Stokes marked another top-5 finish for Augusta, placing 3
rd in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:01.24.

th in Anderson, SC
