ATLANTA, Ga. – Augusta University men's track & field closed out the regular season at the Georgia Tech Invitational April 17-18, posting strong performances across sprint, distance, relay, and field events against a competitive field.
The Jaguars were led by several standout marks on the track.
Chris Hart paced Augusta in the 100 meters with a time of 10.69. Michael Meriweather followed in 10.96, Kobe Mitchell ran 11.07, Devin Barolette posted 11.11, and Ryan Sen finished in 11.36.
Barolette also led the Jaguars in the 200 meters with a time of 21.66, while Logan Wynn added a mark of 22.86.
In the 400 meters, Dorian Chance turned in Augusta's top performance with a time of 48.21. Charlie Roberts followed in 49.05, Roberto Barrera ran 49.94, and Dylan Poole finished in 50.07.
Gabriel Best led Augusta in the 800 meters with a time of 1:53.86. Oscar Curry followed in 1:55.76, Noah Shepherd posted 1:55.91, and David Garcia finished in 1:58.07.
Curry also paced the Jaguars in the 1,500 meters with a time of 3:55.73, while Shepherd followed in 3:58.08.
In the 5,000 meters, Owen Almelien recorded a time of 15:34.26, while Beck Wolf-Hardy finished in 16:00.65.
Andrew Helfers led Augusta in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:42.26.
Nicholas Smink added a time of 56.65 in the 400-meter hurdles.
Augusta competed in two 4x400 relay entries. The A team of Mykel Thompson, Roberto Barrera, Charlie Roberts, and Dorian Chance finished in 3:14.87, while the B team of Nicholas Smink, Ryan Sen, Dylan Poole, and Logan Wynn posted a time of 3:29.91.
In the field events, Mitchell Jean Baptiste cleared 1.86 meters (6-1.25) in the high jump.
Tra'Vontae Smith posted a mark of 14.62 meters (47-11.75) in the shot put, which ranks as the second-longest throw in the Peach Belt Conference this season.
Augusta will compete at the 2026 Peach Belt Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 1-2.
