KENNESAW, Ga – Both Augusta University men's golf team groups finished in the top five at the Pinetree Intercollegiate hosted by Kennesaw State. The Jaguars competed with two separate groups on the Par-72, 7,074-yard Pinetree Country Club Course. The top August group finished second overall after carding a 289 on the final day to finish -6. The second Augusta group finished fifth. Five different AU golfers finished in the top 10.
Dawson Booth shot a tournament-low 67 on Tuesday to finish second overall (-3).
Ryan van der Klis used two birdies and 10 eagles to finish one stroke behind Booth and take home third (-2).
Cole Stevens finished tied for eighth (+1).
Stefan Jacobs shot a 2-over 74 on the final day to finish tied for 14
th. Rounding out the first group, Josh Koekemoer finished tied for 24
th.
Host Kennesaw State won the tournament, finishing -11 on Tuesday.
Augusta's second group was led by Ben Heyns eight place finish. Heyns (+1) tied with teammate Stevens.
Dalton Burts stayed consistent through his final two rounds, carding a 2-over 74 in Rounds 2 and 3 to finish 16
th.
Chapman Barnett turned in a 4-over 76 to finish tied for 20
th. Dean Wlken improved five strokes on his second-round score to finish tied for 38
th. Ian Pieannar closed the tournament 45
th.
