NEW ORLEANS, LA- Five Augusta University cross country runners were named All-Region following the NCAA DII Southeast Regional on Saturday.
Avery Jaynes,
Brandon Martin,
Thomas Rischar,
Jordan Robertson, and
Carlos Rodriguez were named to the list. All-Region honorees for the 2023 NCAA Division II Cross Country season were recognized on Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following Regional Championships Saturday.
A total of 200 men from 83 different programs and 200 women from 91 different programs earned the distinction of All-Region by virtue of a top-25 finish at one of the eight regional sites this past weekend. Only athletes from USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
The Augusta men's cross country team is National Championship bound after earning second place at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship on the campus of North Georgia. All seven competing Augusta runners finished in the top 30, with two top 10 finishes. The Jaguars will compete in the national meet in Joplin, Missouri on Nov. 18
