CHARLESTON, S.C. – Augusta Men's Golf continued its spring slate this week at the Battle of Briar's Creek. The squad finished ninth in a field of 11 teams, carding a 304-290-291 (+21) for the tournament.
Behn Heyns led the way for the Jaguars with a 32
nd place finish.
Hampus Wijkstrom tied for 36
th overall in a field of 66 competitors.
Behn Haynes was steady throughout Day 1, carding 75s in both rounds with the help of seven birdies. In the final round, Haynes shot a 70 (-2), staying at least 2-under par for the entire front nine. Haynes finished four-over par to lead the Jags. Haynes had 9 birdies and 33 pars on the tournament.
Wijkstrom opened his tournament with a round of 78, but immediately shaved off 11 strokes from his score for a team-low 68 in the second round of play. Wijkstrom had one of only seven eagles in the tournament. After shooting a 75 in the third and final round, Wijkstrom finished tied for 36
th.
Stefan Jacobs tied for 41
st and
Dawson Booth tied for 48
th.
Ian Pienaar rounded out the Augusta squad with a 59
th place finish.

Augusta Men's Golf will be back on the course on Feb 26-Feb 28 at the Dorado Beach Collegiate hosted by UNC Greensboro. The tournament is hosted in Puerto Rico.
