NORMAN, Okla. – The first April Arnold Palmer Cup Rankings for the 2023 matches were released Thursday afternoon and Augusta's
Mirabel Ting is ranked No. 4 in the nation. The top six golfers from the spring's final ranking from both the United States and International men and women shall be among the individuals selected to compete in the Palmer Cup. Longtime Arnold Palmer partner Rolex is continuing its 50-plus year relationship through its support of the matches, which will be hosted by Laurel Valley Golf Club June 8-10.
Ting is also ranked No. 7 in the nation by Golfstat.com and No. 13 by Golfweek/Sagarin. She has competed in five events this spring and recorded four top-10 finishes - including a victory in her first ever collegiate tournament at the Moon Golf Invitational. She followed up with a T5 showing at the Vystar, T14 at the Valspar, T7 at Florida State, and a T6 showing to close the regular season in Chattanooga, Tenn.
"I'm very proud of Mirabel for this recognition," head coach
Caroline Haase-Hegg said. "She's had a spectacular start to her college career. Mr. Palmer epitomized competitive greatness while doing things the right way, and I know Mirabel would honor his legacy with her performance and attitude."
Ting owns a 70.83 average score this season and is 10-and-5 against top-25 competition and 8-and-0 against players ranked 26th through 50th. Augusta women's golf competes in the Southland Conference Championships April 17-19 in San Antonio, Texas.
Using Golfstat's NCAA Player Ranking as a base, the Palmer Cup Ranking awards bonus points for wins and high finishes and a penalty for poor finishes. The ranking also contains a strength of schedule component.
The remaining six spots for the United States will consist of five committee picks, including at least one non-Division I golfer and a coaches pick. The balance of the International team also includes five committee selections, including at least one representative from The R&A Student Tour Series, and a coaches pick.
The final rankings will be released on April 20, and the 2023 Arnold Palmer Cup teams will be announced on April 25.

About the Arnold Palmer Cup
The Arnold Palmer Cup was co-founded by Arnold Palmer and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and began at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Orlando, Fla., in 1997. The event is a Ryder Cup-style tournament featuring the top men's and women's university/college golfers matching the United States against a team of International players. The Palmer Cup has been played at some of the world's greatest courses, including The Old Course at St. Andrews, The Royal County Down, Royal Portrush, Baltusrol, The Honors Course, and Cherry Hills. Beginning with the 2018 matches at Evian Resort Golf Club, the Palmer Cup is the only major tournament which features men and women playing side-by-side as partners.
Since its inception, over 125 former Arnold Palmer Cup alumni have gone on to earn cards on the PGA, DP World, or LPGA Tours; 34 have represented Europe or the USA in the Ryder Cup, Presidents Cup, or Solheim Cup and more than 75 have claimed over 315 victories on the PGA, DP World, or LPGA Tours, including 2022 major champions Jennifer Kupcho (The Chevron Championship) and Justin Thomas (PGA Championship). The United States leads the Palmer Cup series 13-12-1.
The Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation supports the Palmer Cup, which provides a platform for perpetuating Arnold Palmer's commitment to youth character development and the growth of amateur/collegiate golf. For more information, please visit ArnoldPalmerCup.com.
