Wilmington, NC - In their final event of the fall season, the Augusta University men's golf team sits in a tie for 10th place after the opening round of the Williams Cup hosted by North Carolina. In a field featuring some of the top programs in the nation, only Arizona St. (-3) and North Carolina (-2) were able to break par at Eagle Point Golf Club. North Carolina State and Auburn fired even par rounds to sit in a tie for third. For the Jaguars, they are +13 and tied with Florida after the first of three rounds.
Bo Blanchard II was the low Jaguar at +1. He had three birdies on his scorecard and is in a tie for 18th place overall.
Dean Wilken was at +3 followed by
Stefan Jacobs at +4 and
Mason Fundingsland at +5 for the counting scores on the afternoon.Â
Round two will tee off Monday at 8;30 with the final round slated for Tuesday morning.Â
