AUGUSTA, GA. - When the Augusta University women's basketball team takes to the court against Belmont Abbey Saturday, Nov. 23 at 1:30 p.m., the Jaguars will host Women in Sports day, a way to honor all those who do play sports.
As part of the program, those women's teams from youth up to high school age students, as well as all sports, will be admitted free of charge to the game. There will also be other activities throughout the course of the contest.
Coach
Celeste Stewart was recently on
WRDW's Morning Mix program to talk about the growing popularity of women in sports and this year's Jaguar team.Â
Augusta will also be honoring
Kennedi Manning, who is now the all-time leading rebounder in school history. Manning collected 987 rebounds during her time wearing the Jaguar jersey and eclipsed Raponsa McNeal atop the all-time leaderboard.
