Cole Stevens Named BCGCA Golfer of the Year

NORMAN, Okla. - The Black College Golf Coaches Association and Golf Coaches Association of America have partnered to present the third annual BCGCA Awards. Augusta's Cole Stevens was named named the 2023-24 Adrian Stills Award winner as the Black College Golfer of the Year. Stevens was also honored on the CGCA All-America Team. 

The awards honor black college golfers from all backgrounds and across all divisions of college golf. Honors include the Adrian Stills Award (Black College Golfer of the Year), HBCU Golfer of the Year, BCGCA All-America Team, BCGCA and HBCU Outstanding Freshmen of the Year, BCGCA All-Freshmen Team, and BCGCA and HBCU Coaches of the Year.

Stevens had an impressive season as a graduate student in 2023-24. His accolades include winning the Southland Conference Championship Individual Title, being named to the Southland All-Conference First Team, and earning the title of Southland Men's Golf Player of the Year. Stevens secured 1st place at the Southland Conference Men's Golf Championship with a score of -6, finished 14th at the NCAA Stanford Regional with a score of -4, and posted a 71.5 stroke average for the season.
