For the second straight year, Augusta University will make the short road trip to Statesboro, Ga. to square off with Division One foe Georgia Southern in an exhibition game. This year's contest will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11.  The game will mark the second contest against a Division One opponent as the Jaguars will open the season against Clemson a week earlier.

 "We really appreciate Georgia Southern and Coach Charlie Henry agreeing to play in a regular season game this year," said Dip Metress, head basketball coach. "Charlie did a fabulous job last year by getting his team peaking at the right time in the always tough Sun Belt Conference .  Hopefully this game will give both teams an opportunity to get better and we look forward to Jaguar fans making that 90 ride down the road to see the game."

This will be the 23rd meeting between the programs with the Jaguars upsetting the Eagles 82-77 a year ago.  

 All-Peach Belt Conference performers Ja'Queze Kirby and Demitri Gardner return to lead the Jaguars, as well as Maximillian Amadasun and John St. Germain III.
