AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University Basketball welcomes fans back to a newly renovated Christenberry Fieldhouse on Tuesday, Nov. 19, for its home-opening doubleheader.
The Jaguars take the court with the women's team hosting Catawba at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's team facing Emmanuel at 7:30 p.m. Fans can secure their seats early through advanced online ticketing, now available at tickets.augustajags.com.
The night will feature Young Jags Night, welcoming elementary students from Richmond, Columbia, and Aiken counties. With the purchase of a discounted $5 adult ticket, fans may bring up to five children for free. Young fans can enjoy face painting provided by Augusta Softball.
Augusta University students, faculty, and staff receive free admission with a valid AU ID. Students are encouraged to arrive early for an indoor tailgate on the mezzanine beginning at 5:30 p.m., featuring food, cornhole, and yard games. AUPD will be on-site grilling hot dogs, and the first 300 students in attendance will receive a free T-shirt, while the first 500 students will receive free food.
The home-opening doubleheader will also include in-game giveaways and on-court contests. With two games, student events, family activities, and the opportunity to experience the refreshed look of Christenberry Fieldhouse, the evening marks an exciting start to the home basketball season.
