Augusta Basketball Hosts Healthcare Heroes Night on Nov. 25

Augusta University men's basketball will host Healthcare Heroes Night on Tuesday, November 25, when the Jaguars host Converse at 7:30 p.m. inside Christenberry Fieldhouse.

In partnership with Wellstar Health System and the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta Athletics will honor the healthcare professionals who serve Augusta and communities across Georgia. All attendees who present a valid medical ID will receive free admission.

Eligible attendees include, but are not limited to, team members and students from Wellstar Health System, the Medical College of Georgia, the Dental College of Georgia, the College of Nursing at Augusta University, the Georgia Cancer Center, Wellstar Children's Hospital of Georgia, Piedmont, Doctors, and other hospitals, clinics, practices, and healthcare organizations across the region. Valid forms of identification include hospital or clinic badges, medical school, or nursing program IDs, and other professional medical IDs.

Wellstar Health System operates 11 hospitals across Georgia, including Wellstar MCG Health in Augusta, along with five health parks and 20 urgent care locations statewide. The system is also preparing to open the new Wellstar Columbia County Medical Center in fall 2026.

Locally, Wellstar MCG Health is the region's only Level 1 trauma center, and Wellstar Children's Hospital of Georgia serves as the area's only Level 2 trauma center. Wellstar Children's Hospital of Georgia is also the largest children's hospital outside of Atlanta and the second largest in the state.

Augusta Athletics is proud to recognize the individuals who provide expert, compassionate care to the community each day.
