Women start play at the PDI Intercollegiate hosted by Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fl  - The Augusta women's golf team started play in the spring season Sunday as they are competing in the PDI Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Central Florida. The Jaguars wrapped up day one of the three day tournament with a team score of +15 and are in 17th place. No. 27 Baylor leads the tournament as they hold a three shot lead over Duke with South Florida four shots off the pace.

Sara Adams posted the low round of the day for Augusta as she rolled in four birdies and finished at -1, good enough for 28th place. Marine Legentil had a pair of birdies on the day and is +2, as is Zoe Pinillos. Gwendolyn Yarnell shot 84 for the last counting team score.

Augusta starts round two on Monday at 10 a.m. and are paired with Lousiiana Monroe, Old Dominion and Duke. The final round will be held on Tuesday at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Fl.
