SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Augusta men's cross country team opened its 2025 campaign at the Converse Kick-Off on Friday morning, placing sixth overall in the 6K.

Freshman Jackson Musto paced the Jaguars in his collegiate debut, clocking 20:44.3 to finish 31st and lead Augusta's scoring pack. Fellow freshman Sam Segrist crossed just behind in 20:52.8 for 36th place, while senior Shahzeb Rashid added veteran presence with a 21:04.4 finish for 46th.

Rounding out Augusta's top five were freshman Landon Amos (21:20.9, 55th) and freshman Barrett Stepp (21:41.5, 63rd). Sophomore David Ajuzie also competed, finishing 77th overall.

The Jaguars fielded a young lineup with four freshmen in the scoring group, gaining valuable early-season experience against a competitive field.

Augusta continues its fall schedule on Friday, Sept. 12, at the Queen City Invitational in Charlotte, N.C.
