Livingston, Al. - Augusta's Kent Moon homered twice and drove in seven runs as the Jaguars pounded Albany St. 16-4 Saturday in Livingston, Al. The Jaguars move to 3-1 on the year while Albany State falls to 1-3. 

Moon hit a two-run homer and a grand slam in the big Jaguar win. Landon Leonard, Jake Vachon and Nathan Martin also went deep for Augusta. Leonard ended the night with four runs driven in with nine Jaguars picking up hits.

Augusta got the scoring started in the opening inning with Moon collecting a bases loaded walk that plated the first run of the game. 

The Jags would explode for 11 runs over the next three innings that made for an insurmountable lead for AU. In the second inning, Leonard would hit a two-run homer that chased home Jakob Cowart. 

In the third, Moon started the scoring with a two-run homer. Leonard would then add a RBI single. Nolan Turner and Davis Newman both got into the act with RBI singles. 

An inning later, Vachon would go deep with a two-run homer. Leonard would add a sacrifice fly for the other run in the frame. 

Moon capped off his big night in the eighth inning with a game-ending grand slam giving AU the 16-4 win. 

Griffin Stewart picked up the win on the mound going 5.1 innings allowing four runs on two hits with eight strikeouts.
