AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to Division I Troy on Tuesday afternoon as the Jaguars continued their challenging spring schedule against top competition.
Troy secured the doubles point with wins on the first two courts. Alejandro Carbonell and Humberto Pinto fell 6-1 in doubles play, while David Perret and Alexis Bailhache dropped a 6-2 decision. The match featuring Tommy Matsumine and Arthur Valette was left unfinished.
In singles play, Alexis Bailhache fell 6-3, 6-2. Alejandro Carbonell dropped a 6-2, 6-0 decision, while Humberto Pinto battled before falling 6-4, 6-2.
Matches featuring David Perret, Enzo Sakiyama, and Arthur Valette were all left unfinished when the team result was decided.
Augusta returns to action Saturday, March 21 at Lander to open Peach Belt Conference play.
