Kent Moon hit three homers and
Harris Bachelder went deep, but it was not enough as Middle Georgia knocked off Augusta 13-6 Sunday afternoon. The Jaguars drop to 9-6 in Peach Belt Conference action and 13-12 overall. The Knights improve to 5-10 in conference play and 10-17 overall.
Moon's three blasts were all solo homers and came in the second, sixth, and eighth inning and he now has a conference high nine homers on the season. He finished with four hits on the day.Â
Middle Georgia scored two times in the first before Moon's first blast. They would score in the next four innings to take a big lead over the Jags.Â
Bachelder's homer would be a two-run shot in the eighth, following Moon's third homer of the afternoon.Â
Six other Jaguars would collect hits.Â
Augusta will next travel to Belmont Abbey to square off with the Crusaders on Wednesday.Â
