Augusta, Ga. - Augusta managed just five hits and a pair of runs as No. 17 North Georgia knocked off Augusta 8-2 Saturday afternoon at Jaguar Field. Augusta falls to 15-18 overall and 11-8 in the Peach Belt Conference. The Nighthawks improve 18-2 in the conference and 26-8 overall.

Mattheson Go collecting a RBI.
North Georgia scored a run in the first, two more in both the third and fourth inning and one in the fifth.Â
The lone two runs for the Jags came in the bottom of the fifth.
Jake Vachon singled to lead off the frame.
Harris Bachelder would then reach on an error as Vachon, who was running on the play, would come around to score. Go would then reach on a fielders choice that plated Bachelder with the other Augusta run.Â
The two teams will wrap up the three game series on Sunday with first pitch scheduled for 1:00 p.m.Â
