Augusta, Ga. - On senior day at Jaguar Field, Augusta dropped a tough, 7-5 game to Flagler when the Saints scored three runs in the seventh to pull off the win.
The Jaguars wrap up Peach Belt Conference play with 12-17 mark and are 18-29 overall with one game to play. Flagler is now 20-10 in conference and 33-15 overall.
Augusta started the scoring in the second when
Harris Bachelder ripped his sixth home run of the year to grab the early advantage.
Flagler would score two in the top of the third to take the lead but it wouldn't last long.
Landon Leonard, who finished with four hits on the game, would single home
Nathan Martin to tie the game at two.
After the Saints would retake the lead, again it would be Leonard coming through in the clutch with a RBI single, plating Martin once again.
With the score tied at three, the Jaguars
Jakob Cowart reach on a fielder's choice that plated
Kent Moon. An error would allow
Jake Vachon to score the second run of the frame.
But in the seventh, Flagler scored three times for the winning margin.
Bachelder, Leonard and
Nolan Turner would all have at least two hits on the afternoon
Augusta stranded 12 runners on the afternoon.
