AUGUSTA, Ga. --
Augusta State defeated UNC Pembroke 3-2 Tuesday night at the
Christenberry Fieldhouse in Peach Belt Conference action. With the
win, the Jags advanced to 9-17 on the year, while the loss dropped
the Braves to 11-12.
Junior Jessica Howard paced the Jags with 19 kills, while sophomore
Dianna Meyer tallied 10 kills. Also aiding in the win for the Jags
was freshman setter Kristania Crawford, who netted 29 assists.
Junior Lindsey Weider led the ASU defense with 23 digs.
For the Braves, junior Jessica Hartley notched nine kills.
Sophomore setter Kayla Marbert booked 25 assists, while junior
Andrea Laza posted 25 digs.
The Jaguars return to action on Thursday, Oct. 16, in a
non-conference match against Clark-Atlanta in Christenberry
Fieldhouse. The first serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
