AUGUSTA, Ga. --
Augusta State blanked Clark Atlanta 3-0 Thursday night at
Christenberry Fieldhouse in non-conference action. With the win,
the Jags advanced to 10-17 on the year, while the loss dropped the
Panthers to 12-14.
Freshman Jessica Hanson paced the Jags with 11 kills and posted a
team-high hitting percentage of .550. Junior Jessica Howard added
11 kills and senior Amy Hunt notched nine kills. Freshman setter
Ashley Zappitell tallied 28 assist, while junior libero Lindsey
Weider racked up 15 digs.
For the Panthers, junior Krystal McGowan led with nine kills and
two service aces. Junior Brittany Black netted 21 assists and six
kills, while senior Angelica Porter notched nine digs.
The Jaguars return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 12, when they host
Francis Marion for a Peach Belt Conference match in Christenberry
Fieldhouse. First serve is slated for 7:00 p.m.
