AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Senior guard Caleb Brown scored a career-high 24 points Saturday to lead Augusta State to an 81-54 non-conference victory over Emmanuel in Christenberry Fieldhouse.

With the win, the No. 10 Jaguars moved to 7-0 on the season and handed the Lions (11-1) their first loss.

The victory was ASU's 34th straight at home and 15th straight in non-conference play. For the fifth time in seven games this season, the Jags allowed 59 or less points.

George Johnson tallied 15 points, including four 3-pointers. Franck Ndongo registered his first career double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds and Howard Brown just missed the first double-double of his career, finishing with a career-high 10 points and career-best nine boards. O'Neal Armstrong snagged five steals and the Browns combined for five steals. The Jags' four seniors combined for 60 of the team's 81 points.

Michael Stanley paced Emmanuel with 14 points and Chase Procuro added 12.

The Jags never trailed and led 44-16 at the half after limiting the Lions to just 19.2 percent shooting in the first 20 minutes. ASU owned the rebounding edge 40-32, shot 45.8 percent for the game and combined for eight treys.

The Jags, who lead the Peach Belt Conference in free-throw percentage, connected on 29-of-36 attempts at the charity stripe (80.6 percent)

ASU travels to Hickory, N.C., to face Lenoir-Rhyne in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 4:00 p.m.
