AIKEN, S.C. – The Jaguars traveled across the Savannah River on Friday night to face rival USC Aiken in a Peach Belt Conference battle and the Jags downed the Pacers 3-1 in the Convocation Center to move to 8-3 on the year and 2-2 in the PBC.

GRU Augusta (8-3, 2-2 PBC) came out strong and won the opening two sets 25-23 and 25-21. USCA came back for a 25-17 third-set win, but the Jags outlasted the Pacers 26-24 in set four to seal the win.

Jags junior Rachel Windle had a team-best 13 kills and Jordan Bickett added 12. Senior Alyssa Latham notched 43 assists to lead all players and Cat DeSilvester added 18 digs and Kali Boatwright had 14.

Freshman Blair Bolton posted 10 kills, five digs, and was involved in four blocks.

The lad changed eight times in the four-set match and there were 20 tie scores. USCA'S Ashley Diedrich had a match-high 14 kills. A .306 attack percentage in set two and a .300 mark in the fourth gave the Jags the edge in the rivalry showdown on the road.

The Jags play another PBC match at Lander on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 2:00 p.m. in Greenwood, S.C.
