DAYTONA BEACH,FL – The Augusta University women's outdoor track and field team finished 6th this past weekend at the Peach Belt Conference Championships at Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach, FL.
During the two day event, AU women's track marked 4 all-conference nominations and one new school record. All top 3 finishes were named All-Conference.
Augusta University Female Athlete of the Year Mackenzie Taylor placed 3rd in the 5000m with a time of 18:14.29.
Cassie Lagan placed third in the 10000m with a time of 39:18.14.
Priscilla Ajala shined as an All-Conference performer in two events. In the 100m, she finished second with a time of 12.31. She also finished third in the 200m in 24.96 setting a new school record in the process.
Jaelen Alexander also tied a school record, finishing her 800m race in 2:21.14.
Augusta University Women's Track will conclude its regular season at the Last Chance Meet on Saturday May 15th at Lee University.
