RALEIGH, N.C. – Augusta University women's track & field competed at the Raleigh Relays, hosted by NC State University March 26-28, highlighted by a record-breaking performance in the 10,000 meters under rainy and windy conditions.
Madison Thomas set a new all-time Peach Belt Conference record in the 10,000 meters with a time of 35:40.03, breaking the previous mark by 25 seconds.
Gabrielle Jourdain also surpassed the previous conference record, finishing in 35:48.62. Her time ranks second all-time in the PBC, placing her just behind Thomas and marking the top two performances in conference history. Jourdain's performance comes as a freshman.
In addition to the distance events, Augusta competed in multiple sprint races.
Madison Mitchell posted a time of 12.15 in the 100 meters, Ava Adams recorded a time of 25.60 in the 200 meters, and Thanna Davis finished in 58.21 in the 400 meters.
Augusta will continue its outdoor season April 3-4 at the Electric City Invitational in Anderson, S.C.
