GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Augusta University women's indoor track & field closed out its inaugural Peach Belt Conference Indoor Championship with a third-place team finish Monday at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center.
The Jaguars totaled 93 points to place third overall, marking the highest team finish in program history, including outdoor track.

Augusta was led by a pair of major award winners. Gabby Jourdain was named the Peach Belt Conference Freshman Track Athlete of the Year, while Cameron Wade earned Freshman Field Athlete of the Year honors. Jourdain was also named to the PBC All-Sportsmanship Team.
Madison Thomas continued her record-breaking season in the 5,000 meters, setting an all-time PBC record with a winning time of 17:26.08 to claim the conference title. Thomas added a fifth-place finish in the 3,000 meters (10:59.88) to score additional team points.
Jourdain captured the conference title in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:58.14 and added a third-place finish in the 5,000 meters (17:37.77), earning All-Conference honors in both events.
On the track, Madison Mitchell placed third in the 60 meters (7.88) and seventh in the 200 meters (26.13). Ava Adams secured a third-place finish in the 200 meters (25.57) and added points in the 400 meters with a seventh-place time of 59.10. Thanna Davis finished fourth in the 400 meters (57.55).
In the middle-distance events, Brie Andrews placed seventh in the 800 meters (2:22.38). Caleigh Munro scored in both the mile (7th, 5:08.18) and the 800 meters, while Josabeth Graciano added points in the mile with an eighth-place finish (5:12.60).
Augusta's Distance Medley Relay team of Andrews, Grace Gyetko, Graciano and Munro finished third with a time of 13:01.47. The 4x400 relay team of Adams, Kennedy McDonald, Davis and Taneiha Bowman placed fifth (4:12.34).
In the field events, Wade placed fourth in the long jump (5.26m / 17-3.25) and fourth in the triple jump (11.02m / 36-2), while Bowman secured a third-place finish in the triple jump (11.25m / 36-11). Rebekah Klossner scored in the pole vault with a sixth-place mark of 2.97m (9-9). Jala Williams earned All-Conference honors with a runner-up finish in the shot put (11.80m / 38-8.75).
The Jaguars will transition to the outdoor season following their strongest conference team finish in program history.
