#10 Augusta Men's Basketball Retains Top Spot in Second NCAA Southeast Region Ranking
AUGUSTA, Ga – The #10 Augusta University men's basketball program remained atop the NCAA's Southeast Region when the final region poll of the season was released from the association's national headquarters in Indianapolis, Ind.
If they retain the top spot, the Jaguar will host the NCAA Regional Tournament March 12, 13, and 15. The NCAA Division II Elite Eight returns to Evansville, Indiana. Games will be played March 22, 24 and 26. The selection show will be March 6

"Our focus this week is to capture the Peach Belt tournament conference tournament title. Our league is top to bottom one of the best in the country and it will take great team effort to be tournament champions."
Ranked No. 10 in the nation, AU is one of five Peach Belt Conference schools to appear in the regional rankings, joining No. 5 Flagler, No. 6 Georgia College, No. 8 Columbus State and No. 10 USC Aiken.
Lincoln Memorial of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC), jumped to the No. 2 spot. No. 3 Queens also kept its position in the poll. UNC Pembroke is the lone Conference Carolina School
The top eight teams in the final Southeast Region poll of the regular season will earn a trip to the NCAA Tournament. If Augusta maintains its top spot, it will be the host site for the NCAA Southeast Region Tournament.
